Ogechi C. Abu

Ogechi is a legal practitioner and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2001. Her specialty is litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She is a graduate from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka and is an ardent advocate for human rights, especially women and children’s. She is the Chair, Human Rights Committee of the NBA, Unity Bar Branch.

She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK (Nigeria Branch), International Bar Association (IBA) and the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA Nigeria). She is a Senior Associate in the Law Firm of Banwo & Ighodalo, a Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, former Vice-Chairman of the NBA, Abuja Branch, former Publicity Secretary of FIDA Nigeria and Editor-in-Chief of “LOYA” the FIDA Nigeria official magazine/newsletter. Ogechi lives in Abuja with her family.
